Lately, I’ve been thinking about who I want to love, and how I want to love, and why I want to love the way I want to love, and what I need to learn to love that way, and who I need to become to become the kind of love I want to be… and when I break it all down, when I whittle it into a single breath, it essentially comes out like this: Before I die, I want to be somebody’s favorite hiding place, the place they can put everything they know they need to survive, every secret, every solitude, every nervous prayer, and be absolutely certain I will keep it safe. I will keep it safe. Andrea Gibson (via letters-to-nobody)

I don’t want to look back in five years time and think, ‘We could have been magnificent, but I was afraid.’ In 5 years I want to tell of how fear tried to cheat me out of the best thing in life, and I didn’t let it. (via thedapperproject)

As the sun approached it’s cycle he laid his head gently on my lap. There he was serene, with his eyes closed and lost in his own thoughts while I caressed his face loveably. Absorbing every perfectly drawn line on his face, memorizing every freckle I could see. Every now and then his eyes would open and his lips would create the most delicate and sweet smirk, that smirk that said nothing and everything all at the same time. Locking my eyes in his for a few seconds just to get lost in that deep brown color his eyes contained. While still absorbing his features my hands would slowly stroke the hair on his chest, his skin. His head remained in my lap while I smiled at the view of him there so calm, while his aroma intoxicated me more. It was that precise moment that I realized that if I ever lost him I would lose myself as well.
